I'm tempted to boycott this game, more because I would rather have map updates for Gears Ultimate. I won't be playing Gears 4's multiplayer much either way.
Love the new click-bait-esque layout!!! Slowly edging towards the day when all websites look exactly the same! The future is now!
No, it has nothing to do with subjective opinion. MS KNOW it isn't going to be the best XBox line-up in their history, but they're just saying it to generate hype aka "marketing".
Don't care.
“The greatest games line-up in Xbox history”?
And you actually believed them? Do people just not understand how marketing works?
It's Gears. Primary colors can fuck off.
*headdesk*
You guys seriously don't know how this industry works do you? Of course the first reveal footage looks better, it's a f*cking announcement trailer at E3 on Microsoft's stage floor...so they take the games engine, bump up the resolution by about 1000% because if they did't, people would whine that it looks like PS one game or whatever. Virtually every company at E3 does this if it's a big announcement. Unless the the footage they are showing i...
@ Rainslacker
Sure, but it ins't just graphics resolution and poly count that I'm referring to, it's a fact that consumers (and subsequently publishers) care so much about PRESENTATION, that the devs spend ridiculous amounts of time and resources on the art content. This includes sound as well, where they hire Hollywood actors to do voice overs. Nothing wrong with an eye-poppingly beautiful game at all, just as long as it doesn't hold back gameplay, but from...
Let's analyze the trailer:
"You're a woman, in a room, controlling a creature."
"Cool, anything new you can tell us?"
"No, it's too early."
Way to build to the hype train.
You have a fair point but Sony didn't start spying on their customers and banning people when they got hacked. Granted, Microsoft isn't Sony but at least these hackers haven't released user's private information or anything like that. The Sony hack on other hand DID effect whether or not Sony implemented certain online features (not being able to migrate a PS4 Warframe account would be probable example). if Microsoft decides to start spying on people in fear of another hack...
Yes, but we don't argue or complain when one version is less than 1080p, you just buy the one you want.
Thing is, it's also harmful to the industry, because devs have to spend a tone of time and money making pretty graphics and high production sound, while the gameplay is only average, then people wonder why they're not making the money back.
So they want cutting edge graphics, life like animation, inspiring music, fun gameplay, innovation, gripping narrative, blinding script, fully featured online support, zombie challenge mode, free DLC minus the day one patch, special edition boxset complete with life-sized statue at the regular price, and it has to sell over 2 million units on launch: all the while hitting every deadline and milestone including the street date. Oh yeah, and the marketing cannot be misleading - intentionally...
But maybe the PS2 can emulate PS4 games?
"...a simple name match shouldn’t have been enough to spark a block."
The video game industry's "professionalism" that everyone likes to harp on about.
This is saddening. Rest in piece.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
It's funny because that PS4 design is shit!
(No, dickwads, that doesn't mean I hate Sony, it means I think the this Star Wars PS4 design is shit).
Hated the conference? Ok. I guess. I really enjoyed this conference myself, I think the Sony conferences are getting better and better. Of course I don't expect them to announce a FF7 remake every fckng conference...
"People hardly get this game because they like volleyball."
No shit Sherlock! I mean it's nothing like porn, where if you find the unrelenting titillation all too much to handle, you can at least look forward to the riveting dialogue instead ;)
You don't have to equip martyrdom if you don't want to ;)
